November 1st is World Vegan Day, and to celebrate this, Whole Foods Market has got a treat in store.
Across the US, a new brand new vegan menu will be added to the stores’ hot food bars!
The menu is entirely vegan and was developed by husband and wife chef duo Kate Jacoby and Richard Landau. They are big names in delicious vegan cuisine due to their culinary enterprise Vedge in Philadelphia, a plant-based fine dining restaurant.
If you’re wondering whether their food is any good, it might be worth noting that in the words of Trey Popp in Philadelphia Magazine, “[i]s Vedge one of the best vegan restaurants in America? It might be one of the best restaurants, period.”
The pair recently added to their list of vegan conquests by opening a vegan street food bar, VStreet, and vegan sandwich shop Wiz Kid where the duo debuted their line of vegan ice cream ‘Cool Kid’!
The culinary whizzes have created a unique and nutritious menu, with a range of dishes.
The menu will include sauerkraut-roasted rainbow carrots, mustard-glazed cauliflower, ‘cheesy’ rutabaga and potato mash and lentil-mushroom stuffing. Oh – and of course, for dessert, chocolate toffee miniature cake.
From November 1st you can get your mouths around these goodies in stores, and the vegan menu will also be available for online ordering until November 6th.
