Lizzo is headed to Amazon Prime. The vegan singer just signed a first-look production deal with Amazon Studios.

The company made the announcement earlier this month during its virtual press tour. Lizzo will help develop exclusive content for the streaming service.

“Lizzo is one of the most exciting, creative, joyful artists in the industry, and it is such a pleasure to announce this new deal with her,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said in a statement.

Salke added: “She has such a unique perspective and we’re so excited to hear her ideas for new content that our Prime Video customers are sure to love.”

Amazon Studios has yet to reveal the premise for the upcoming television project. But Lizzo said the deal is a “dream come true.”

“I’m so excited to partner with the amazing team at Amazon,” she said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get started and share my vision with the world.”

Lizzo Goes Vegan

Lizzo has also shared her talents on another video streaming platform. The Grammy Award-winning singer has taken to TikTok to share tasty vegan recipes and updates on her plant-based diet.

“So being plant-based and vegan has been pretty easy except for when I am hungover,” she said in a video. “I used to crave cheesy eggs, so here is my substitute for cravings when you’re hungover.”

The egg-free recipes included JUST vegan egg, dairy-free pepper jack cheese, spinach, and a Carne Asada black bean mixture. She cooked up some vegan bacon, too. “Now here’s a secret about vegan bacon. I like to cook it in maple syrup so it gets nice and crunchy and candied,” she said.

She’s also whipped up vegan fried chicken and biscuits using Just Egg and a vegan Jamaican spicy beef patty. The Jamaican beefless patty recipe featured MorningStar Farms’ plant-based meat, Tofutti dairy-free cream cheese, and Frank’s RedHot Seasoning Blend.

Lizzo also took to Instagram to share her favorite resource for vegan beginners: Vegan Quest. The vegan grocery delivery offers fresh produce from local markets to show people “how to shop vegan at an affordable price.” It also aims to make the “transition to plant-based fun and easy.”
