ILIA are an LA-based company that takes an ethical-sustainable approach to their products. The packaging is minimalist and contemporary, with all cream lip products housed in a sleek recycled aluminum case. Each product is filled with up to 85% bioactive organic ingredients (bioactive ingredients are responsible for delivering proposed benefits).
Their lip conditioner Nobody’s Baby is a perfect sheer nude, with a slight sheen; guaranteed love at first pout. It feels incredibly lush and hydrating, perfect to wear it on its own or layer-on a lip gloss like The Butterfly and I. The gloss has a hint of a peach undertone and is packed with coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E, and, of course, it’s vegan.
For those who prefer a bold lip, the lipsticks and lip crayons are for you. The colors are gorgeous shades of corals, pinks, and reds. The lip crayons are made with oils of coconut, sesame and cranberry seed. A favorite, is the brilliant 99 Red Balloons, an irresistible red which can take you from the office to Atomic Blonde.
Most recently they’ve introduced lip conditioners with SPF 15. Try alternating between Darlin’ (a nude with peach undertones) and Bombora (a hint of red). Ilia’s site allows you to filter by ‘vegan’ so you’ll be safe in the knowledge that your purchase comes without any animal products or testing. Their range of eye and face products are available in shades which flatter a variety of complexions and the illuminators work as a subtle highlighter which can be applied to cheekbones, brow bones, inner corner of eyes, bridge of nose and pout of lower lip for a fresh, dewy glow. Polka Dots & Moonbeams is lovely on fair complexions. And the Multi-Sticks add a sheer blush of color.
ILIA products can be purchased through local retailers globally, iliabeauty.com and at Sephora.
