Snoop Dogg Serves Vegan Burgers at Grammys Party

He may still be 0-16 in winning a Grammy award, but the Doggfather brought the win last night for burger lovers. At a pre-Grammys party, Snoop served up the new Carl’s Jr. Beyond Star burgers made with the vegan Beyond Burger from Beyond Meat. And it appears to have been quite the night.

Snoop and Carl’s Jr. exchanged messages across Instagram following the event.

“Now everyone can hit the drive thru and order that Beyond Famous Star Burger,” Snoop wrote on his page.

Carl’s Jr. sent back a fist bump and shout out to Snoop, “what a night,” the fast-food chain wrote.

Beyond Meat jumped in, too, sharing a photo of Snoop holding the burger and thanking him for his “ongoing support” of the “future of protein.”

The vegan burger made from pea protein, coconut oil, and beets, looks, cooks, and tastes like a beef burger. It has become the brand’s signature product since its 2016 launch. Beyond Meat says it has sold more than 25 million patties since the burger first hit shelves.

And it kicked off 2019 with the launch early last month into Carl’s Jr. locations across the country.

The burger has been a success so far. Carl’s Jr. even bought a Super Bowl ad for the burger, highlighting it as a modern-day gold rush of sorts led by an old prospector. “When the wagon of change comes, you ride along with it,” the ad noted.

This isn’t Snoop’s first bite of a vegan burger. The now-cookbook author and co-host of “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” alongside his real-life BFF Martha Stewart, recently stood in line for a burger at popular Atlanta food truck “Slutty Vegan.” The enterprise was celebrating the launch of its first brick and mortar location and the celebs, including Snoop Dogg and filmmaker Tyler Perry, were among the crowd.

Snoop also posed for a photo recently with vegan Ultraman, author, and podcast host, Rich Roll.

No point in even trying to act cool in this situation,” Roll wrote in an Instagram post where he posed with Snoop Dogg.

The musician also recently offered to adopt a rescue pit bull that had been named in his honor after being rescued from the side of a road. “There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop,” he said.
