Snoop Dogg is helping Beyond Meat donate vegan burgers to hospital workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.
The rapper posted on Instagram: “Beyond Meat has made a pledge to donate over one million Beyond Burgers to those in need during these challenging times.”
He continued, “I’m proud to be a part of it.” He sent Beyond Burgers over to Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Southern Los Angeles.
Comedian Kevin Hart also recently sent Beyond Burgers to Northridge Hospital Medical Center.
“We are dedicated to making sure those who need it most right now have access to a good, nourishing meal at no cost,” Beyond Meat recently posted on Instagram. The brand is working to get its burgers to hospital workers and food banks, as well as other frontline organizations.
“Our community of employees, ambassadors, and friends are coming together to help us donate and distribute over one million Beyond Burgers,” Beyond Meat continued. “Our goal has always been to use food as a vehicle for change. We’re fortunate to be in a position to put that into action now like never before.“

San Francisco-based food delivery service DoorDash delivers Beyond Meat’s burgers free of charge, in both Los Angeles and New York City. New York is now the worst coronavirus-hit place in the world, with more than 188,000 confirmed cases in the state. The United States as a whole has more than 561,000 confirmed cases.
In California, Maggie Baird—mom to Grammy award-winning singer Billie Eilish—is also helping feed key workers with vegan food during the outbreak. California currently has more than 21,000 confirmed coronavirus cases.
Together with a number of organizations, including Eat Drink Vegan, Baird has created Support and Feed. The initiative has partnered with plant-based restaurants in New York and Los Angeles to feed vulnerable people and workers on the frontlines.
Customers place an order with a partnered restaurant, clearly stating they would like to do so under the Support and Feed initiative. The restaurant consolidates the orders, and then Conscious Cleanup—an eco-motivated waste diversion service—delivers the food to an organization in need.
