Do you ever get food nostalgia? I created these gooey, fudgey chocolate squares back in 2015 and now I’m sat here reminiscing over the photographs.
They’re pretty simple to make but oh-so decadent! If you’re looking for a healthier way to enjoy chocolatey treats then this is definitely one to add to your list!
Here’s a little recipe teaser for my fellow chocoholics…
INGREDIENTS:
For the base:
1 cup medjool dates
100g ground almonds
Handful of hazelnuts
Handful of raisins
2 tbsp ground flax-seed
4 tbsp raw cacao powder
For the fudge mix:
4 bananas
2 tbsp agave syrup (or maple if you don’t have agave)
6 tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp peanut butter
6 tbsp raw cacao powder
Drool-worthy, no?
If you want to know how to recreate them for yourself, check out the full recipe at roughmeasures.com and explore the recipe archive while you’re there!
Note that some of the older recipes are vegetarian but ingredients can easily be substituted for vegan alternatives. Everything is clearly labelled for vegan and gluten free.
