‘Game of Thrones’ Star Peter Dinklage Featured in Super Bowl Ad for New Vegan Doritos

Vegan Game of Thrones star, Peter Dinklage, starred in an entertaining new ad for vegan Doritos during the big game on Sunday. The ad depicted Dinklage going up against Morgan Freeman in a lip-syncing battle, Freeman was representing the brand Mountain Dew in the face off.

The spicy new flavor from Doritos, Blaze, contains no animal products. Other flavors from the brand that are suitable as a vegan snack are Chilli Heatwave and Lightly Salted.

In the ad, Peter Dinklage mimes along to Busta Rhymes. The rapper said of the ad in an interview with Billboard, ‘”t’s an incredible moment and I’m definitely proud of it. I think it’s the hottest commercial on the planet. I feel that it’s one of the best commercials in Super Bowl history.”

Peter Dinklage has been extremely vocal in the past about his love for animals and his belief that their welfare should be taken seriously. The actor has worked closely with PETA, and in 2014 he released a video in partnership with the organization asking people to consider going meat-free.

More recently, the star expressed concern over the issue of abandoned huskies following the success of “Game of Thrones,” and the inclusion of the animals in the show. The number of abandoned huskies has increased by 800% since 2011.

 

“Please, please, if you’re going to bring a dog into your family, make sure that you’re prepared for such a tremendous responsibility,” Dinklage said, “and remember to always, always, adopt from a shelter.”
