In this video, beauty influencer Claire Buchanan shows us how to apply the NikkieTutorials x BEAUTY BAY Pressed Pigment Palette.
“How cool is this palette? It’s so hard to find a palette that is 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free and NikkiTutorials is huge,” Claire explains. “She’s basically the Meryl Streep and Elvis of makeup.”
Known on her YouTube channel—which she started when she was just 14-years-old—as NikkieTutorials, Nikkie de Jager is a Dutch makeup artist and beauty influencer.
Before applying the eyeshadow palette, Claire primes her face with Pacifica Cherry Matte Mattifying Primer.
“It’s really good for your pre-makeup and for oil control,” Claire explains. “What I love about this primer is not only does it smell amazing, but it really just sets that foundation and really helps it to not be so cakey.”
Here’s How to Get Glam With NikkieTutorials’ Vegan Palette
Once her face is primed, Claire applies her foundation: NYX Born to Glow!.
“This is a really affordable option if you’re looking for something vegan and cruelty-free,“ she says. She then applies Kat Von D’s Lock-It Foundation for added coverage. “A combination is better for me,” she explains.
For her brows, Claire uses the Quo Beauty Ultra Precise Brow Pencil. And then she applies NikkieTutorials’ eyeshadow palette. “It blends pretty well,” she says. “A little bit definitely goes a long way.”
Claire finishes her look with Pacifica Stellar Gaze Length and Strength Mineral Mascara and applies a nude lip using NYX Retractable Lip Liner, Kat Von D Bow and Arrow Matte Lipstick, and Too Faced Lip Injection Instant Long Term Lip Plumper. “This is a little bit more on the pricier side,” she says.
She blends her foundation with NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation and contours using Urban Minerals Light Reflective Hylite & Divine Matte Contour Kit. Claire completes her look with Haven Lashes (which she applies using Duo Dark Eyelash Glue), NYX Born to Glow Concealer, and Tarte Stay Spray Setting Spray.
