For many vegans, conscious-eaters and those who dabble in the art of dairy-free cheese loving – Daiya’s products are likely to be no stranger. Especially as Daiya Foods claim their plant based foods taste “just like dairy-based products”.
This brand produces a familiar range of dairy substitutes, including cheese shreds, frozen ‘cheesy’ pizzas, cream cheese, Greek yogurt and vegan cheezecake, of course.
Considering Daiya is based in Canada and it just so happens to be fall in the Northern Hemisphere right now, their latest, seasonal cheezecake flavour is but of course, Pumpkin Spice. This flavour has become uber popular in recent times and is no longer just associated with lattes.
Those who have tried this cheezecake say it has a heavenly blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, plus has the perfect creamy and thick texture alike would be expected of a traditional cheesecake.
Not only are they free of animal products, but slice up this cheezecake and serve to anyone who also requires gluten-free or soy-free food without worry. Daiya said in an Instagram post, “[e]njoy two classics in one dessert with our new Pumpkin Spice Cheezecake! Made in limited quantities and only for fall 2017.”
They also told LIVEKINDLY: “We have really been delighted at the popularity of the new Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake. We definitely hope to bring it back again next year. We will have to wait and see if it will be available again next year.”
If you’re in need of a sweet treat after Thanksgiving degustation, or an addition to a holiday meal spread – pop down to your local Whole Foods Market and pick one up, as these are only available for a limited time.
