Vegan actor Liam Hemsworth rocked a vegan leather belt and shoes at the 16th annual G’Day USA gala in LA.
The actor – who married vegan musician Miley Cyrus last month – wore a black suit with a pair of vegan leather shoes and a belt to the event, where he accepted an award for his roles in “The Hunger Games” film series and 2016’s “Independence Day: Resurgence”.
Vegan luxury menswear brand Brave GentleMan designed Hemsworth’s accessories for the gala; the brand is owned by fashion designer, author, and activist Joshua Katcher. His commitment to ethical fashion has earned praise from major publications, including Forbes, GQ, and Vogue.

The leading fashion and lifestyle magazine once wrote of the designer, “The full scope of Katcher’s ethical commitment is rather head-spinning, just as it is to gape about his Williamsburg shop, with its complete future-is-now men’s range.”
This isn’t the only time Vogue has called out cruelty-free, ethical products as the future of fashion. At the end of 2018, the influential publication praised Cyrus’s ethical choices as she promoted her latest politically-charged single with DJ Mark Ronson “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” in London.
Cyrus wore a vegan leather mini skirt by Chanel with a pair of faux leather boots by veggie designer Stella McCartney. Vogue noted that the “forward-looking” outfit was more than just a “celebrity style moment.” It stated, “The [vegan outfit is] a peek at how we’ll all be dressing in the near future.”
Cyrus responded to the comments on her Instagram, writing, “Vogue.Com, Yasss! No animals have to die for you to live for my look! Saving animals is sexy!”
Hemsworth himself is also a style icon; he was once crowned by animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) as Australia’s Sexiest Male Vegan.
Last year, the actor wore an eco-friendly vegan wool Vaute Couture coat, which the cruelty-free brand posted about on its Facebook page. It wrote, “SWOON! Our #vegan, #sweatshopfree Mark Mountain Coat on Liam Hemsworth – showing the world no animals need to be harmed to keep you warm, fed, or like really really handsome.”
