Kat Von D and Green Day Frontman Team Up for New Vegan Makeup

Beauty entrepreneur and TV personality Kat Von D has partnered with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to release a vegan makeup product.

Following the recent announcement of her new lipstick shade ‘Hilda’, which is made from vegan products and is not tested on animals, comes an eyeliner that is also following the cruelty-free movement.

In a post on Instagram, Von D reveals the collaboration with the Green Day singer. Though the product has not been released, posts online show the cosmetic line is titled ‘Basket Case’, and will be vegan.

Billie Joe Armstrong reportedly does not eat meat, and recently visited an animal shelter.

Kat Von D is a “proud vegan”. Her commitment to a vegan diet has also spread to her business.
She announced last year that her makeup line, Kat Von D Beauty, would be turning completely cruelty-free.

This is not the first time Von D has spoken out for animal rights. She has previously raised money for Project Chimps, Mercy For Animals and has donated proceeds of her makeup business to Farm Sanctuary.

She says, “I have a platform and this, to me, is the number one most important issue on this planet.”
