Jessica Biel Launches Kinderfarms, a Vegan Wellness Brand That Gives Back

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel recently launched Kinderfarms, a clean health and wellness brand for families that produces vegan products.

The company’s first product, Kinderlyte, is a natural, medical-grade electrolyte solution that helps with all forms of dehydration, including those related to illness, sports, travel, and even a late night out. The product is plant-based, and is made without artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors.

Kinderlyte is currently available in 25,000 stores nationwide and can be found in the baby aisle or cough and cold section of stores such as Walgreens, CVS, Target, Rite Aid and Albertsons. It can also be purchased on Amazon.

Next month, Kinderfarms is slated to launch Kindersprout—a vegan organic protein shake for kids that has more vitamins and minerals than the leading brand, and more calcium than dairy-based alternatives. Kindersprout is also allergen-friendly, making it a safe option for school lunchboxes.

Jessica Biel Launched Kinderfarms to “Fit” Her Values

Biel and co-founders Jeremy Adams, a natural products entrepreneur, and Greg Willsey, were inspired to create a kinder kind of “farmaceutical” company after noticing a lack of clean products for babies and children.

“You read the back of these labels and then when you start looking up what some of these things are, it doesn’t fit my values as a mom,” Biel told People. “[Kinderfarms is] creating an option for families who have different value sets.”

The “Limetown” star, who shares two young children with husband Justin Timberlake, added: “As a parent, I want to find products that are effective and also free of unnecessary artificial ingredients. That’s why I am excited to be a part of the Kinderfarms family, a company that shares the same values when it comes to what we give our kids.”

Adams says that the Kinderfarms team wanted to make all of the brand’s products vegan because plants are the root of clean products. “Being a vegan company has always been part of who we are,” he says.

The Kinderfarms CEO also pointed out that “many animal products are also common allergens,” so by creating vegan products made without animal products, Kinderfarms is simply “meeting our customer’s needs.”

Kinderfarms Gives Back to the Planet

The overall mission of Kinderfarms is to provide healthy options that parents can trust, which is part of why the new brand has pledged to donate one percent of all sales to support families globally through the 1% For The Planet campaign. The initiative is a global movement meant to inspire businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through everyday actions, with the goal of tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues.

Kinderfarms has also worked extensively with Water.org—a nonprofit organization working to bring water and sanitation to the world—to provide access to safe water to people in need across the globe.

Adams, Biel, and the rest of the Kinderfarms team were insistent that “giving back” to help the planet and others be a part of the company’s mission from the start.

“As a company focused on bringing clean options to every family, we also wanted to make sure we were thinking about families globally and being good stewards of the planet,” says Adams. “Our partnerships with both 1% For the Planet and Water.org ensure we are making an impact now and as we grow.”
