This past year, we were majorly inspired by the stars when it comes to food—no, not in the astrological sense, but by the stars of Hollywood, Instagram, and TikTok. Being able to see inside their lives and what they cook on the daily is nothing short of motivational. (Tabitha Brown, a.k.a. our bestie, has the same 24 hours a day as we do to eat deliciously, right?).
From Serena Williams to Gordon Ramsay, we’ve gathered our fave famous folks, their recipes, and all their cooking advice, so you can fulfill all your New Year’s (or Any-Time-of-Year’s) resolutions of eating deliciously.
Serena Williams
From vegan Mexican pizza to walnut meat tacos, tennis superstar Serena Williams took a page out of her sister Venus’ book to try out a plant-based diet. She soaks nuts overnight to make a vegan meat for tacos, then adds a flavorful seasoning blend with cumin and paprika.
Tabitha Brown
She opens vegan restaurants, posts saucy TikToks, and makes some of the most envy-inducing vegan meals that we’ve ever seen. We love Tabitha Brown, and her recipes are utterly delectable, from a hearty stuffed breakfast avocado to vegan coconut crab cakes.
Gordon Ramsay
We never thought we’d live to see the day, but the fiery head of Hell’s Kitchen has made vegan food heavenly. Amongst his viral hits are an eggplant steak that set the internet ablaze, and an olive, tomato, and rosemary focaccia worth writing home to your nonna about.
Mindy Kaling
Kaling was inspired by her friend Natalie Portman’s vegan lifestyle, so she made a New Year’s resolution to eat less red meat. Her favorite things to make include banana ice cream, masala dosas, chana masala, and butternut squash soup.
Padma Lakshmi
She’s not just the star judge of Top Chef—she’s also an accomplished cookbook author in her own right who keeps part of her kitchen vegetarian for her Hindu relatives. Padma Lakshmi makes vegan cooking so easy, from a spinach and chickpea salad that will keep in your fridge for a week, to a bowl-scraping mango curry.
Kim Kardashian
When you’ve got options like vanilla pecan granola, taco salad, and eggplant parmesan with Just Egg, it’s not so hard to cook vegan at home like Kim Kardashian. The social media star and entrepreneur loves well-spiced, plant-based vegan tacos made with Beyond Meat, along with a host of other flavorful dishes and healthy desserts.
Kourtney Kardashian
Surrounded by vegans, including her sister Kim and her partner Travis Barker, it wasn’t too hard for Kourtney Kardashian to gradually make the transition to a mostly vegan diet. Her faves trend mostly healthy, from a rich avocado shake and vegan sushi to craveable peanut butter bars and hearty tacos.
Kylie Jenner
Business mogul Kylie Jenner loves healthy yet filling meals and snacks, including fusilli with marinara, layered avocado toast, and candied yams. But she can also throw down with timeless classics, like an absolutely perfect crustless PB & J for her partner Travis Scott.
Jennifer Garner
Garner goes next-level when it comes to cooking vegan. Sharing her skills on Instagram, she makes a mean garlic-cashew spread to amp up “blah” meals and even finesses a “magic shell” ice cream topping.
Lizzo
Superstar singer Lizzo was inspired to ditch meat while living in Minneapolis because of the city’s impressive vegan and vegetarian food scene. She also experiments with raw veganism. Her fave recipes, which she details on TikTok, include a green veggie soup she calls “Sick Day Soup,” pesto pasta with vegan bacon, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts nachos, and vegan feta pasta. We’re inspired by her comfort food classics made deliciously vegan.
