If you’ve never made nut milk from scratch at home, you’re missing out on two things: First, the deliciousness of a homemade nondairy milk is not to be understated. It’s just off the charts yummy and you can tweak it to your freaky flavor preferences as much as you want. That is, unless, the second point derails your effort — the insanely messy complications of what-the-heck-is-a-mesh-nut-milk-bag-and-how-does-it-work-anyway.
The struggle is real. Or at least, it used to be.
Meet Goodnuss, a startup company now raising funds for the first mess-free, mesh-free reusable nut milk bag. Cue the heavens opening up.
There’s no more blending and repeated pours through a mesh bag – the traditional way of making your own nut milk at home. Instead, the company offers an all-in-one pouch you can blend in and pour straight out of. It even offers pre-ground nuts to get you started.
“We didn’t want to make another appliance,” the company explains on its Indiegogo page.
Goodnuss, the founders note, is “a new kind of nut milk bag that lets you say goodbye to messes in your kitchen, overpriced appliances, unhealthy store bought milk, and long hours spent making nut milk instead of spending time with your family and friends.”
Sure, you can still buy your nut milk off the shelf like everyone else, but for those who want to save a few bucks, don’t want any extra ingredients, or the packaging waste, Goodnuss makes it easier than ever, the company says. “It truly combines the best of both worlds.”
