Smoothies are a great breakfast for mid-week busy mornings, when you need something to grab and go. I have a smoothie for breakfast Mon – Fri and love knowing I’m getting a good dose of vitamins to kick start the day.
I like to add vegetables to my smoothie, to keep me full for longer, add fibre and keep up with the 10 a day fruit and vegetable intake that is now recommended in the UK. Frozen veg and fruit is great to have on hand, simply grab some from the freezer and bang it in the blender and away you go.
This Hidden Veg Chocolate Smoothie is a winner in our household. Thick and creamy like a good vegan chocolate milkshake, filling enough to keep you going on those busy mornings.
It’s been popular with younger ones too, and they never need to know there are green vegetables in there!
