A renewed partnership is bringing together your love for burritos and your love for experimenting with the latest beauty products: E.l.f Chipotle makeup is back.
The two companies first worked together last spring, and the collaboration was so popular it sold out within four minutes. Now, they’re back at it.
The vegan, cruelty-free, spicy limited-edition collection includes a 12 piece eyeshadow palette inspired by “classic Chipotle ingredients,” like white and brown rice, pinto beans, mild salsa, and guac. (And for each palette you buy, you’ll get actual free chips and guac from Chipotle.)
There’s also a hydrating red-hot salsa lip gloss that’ll make your lips tingle a little, an avocado-shaped makeup sponge, and a tortilla chip-inspired makeup bag, called the Eyes Chips Face Makeup Bag. Prices start at $8 and nothing is higher than $20.
In a statement sent to LIVEKINDLY, Kory Marchisotto, E.l.f’s chief marketing officer, said: “There is nothing tastier or prettier than the combination of burritos and makeup!”
Chipotle is also launching a new vegan bowl to celebrate the collection, called the Eyes. Chips. Face. Bowl. It features white rice, pinto beans, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-red salsa, guac, lettuce, and a side of chips.
According to a press release, the new option was curated by iconic drag queens Trixie Mattel and Kim Chi, and aims to “celebrate the dual commitment of E.l.f. and Chipotle to support plant-based lifestyles and responsibly-sourced products.”
If you’re a lover of all things makeup and beauty, you’ll know that collaborations are hugely popular in the industry. Brands are constantly on the lookout for new, unique, marketable partners.
Ciaté London, for example, recently launched a collaboration with Miss Piggy. The cruelty-free range includes Piggy Power lipstick and the Who? Moi? Mirror.
ColourPop is also a fan of partnerships, teaming up with Animal Crossing: New Horizons for its latest vegan-friendly collection. Products inspired by the popular Nintendo game include the Fruit Basket lip tint and a sparkly glitter-gel paste called Bellionare.
With its latest collection, Chipotle and E.l.f. want to grab the attention of Generation Z, according to Tressie Lieberman, Chipotle’s vice president, digital marketing, and off-premise.
“We’re always looking for opportunities to lead culture and make authentic connections with Gen-Z, alongside brands that share similar values,” she noted, before adding that this new collaboration is “next level.”
Launching on March 10, the new E.l.f Chipotle makeup collection is available directly from E.l.f., as well as Chipotle Goods, and virtual shopping platform NTWRK.
