Plant-based brand investing has proven to be a lucrative space. Consider the record-breaking IPOs of Beyond Meat and Oatly. And Hollywood—vegan celebrities in particular—are taking notice.
Leonardo DiCaprio, for example, has used his position as an Impossible Foods ambassador (and an investor in the popular brand) to encourage people to consume less meat. As an active environmentalist, DiCaprio is also an investor in other vegan brands such as Califia Farms and Hippeas.
In a similar fashion, Jay-Z, who has reportedly experimented with veganism for years, is a prolific investor in beloved vegan brands. Like DiCaprio, the New York native was an early Impossible Foods investor. He’s since backed Partake Foods, which makes dairy-free cookies, as well as Simulate, which produces plant-based chicken nuggets beloved by Bella Hadid, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and more.
