The UK’s third-largest supermarket chain, ASDA, has recently released a range of on-the-go vegan products that you can grab for lunch without breaking the bank.
The range, which includes a wrap, a sandwich, and a salad, is all priced at £2.50 and is packed full of flavour. You can now grab an onion bhaji wrap, a falafel and houmous sandwich or a rice and bean salad pot. The products are perfect for those trying Veganuary who might not have time to pack a lunch before work every day.
According to Andrew Johnston, ASDA’s innovations chef ‘With more and more customers going vegan, we’ve introduced a range which not only answer the dietary needs of the nation, but that also turn favourite foods in vegan-friendly, on-the-go options.’ Johnston added, ‘From onion bhajis – one of the top-selling snacks in the UK – to a light Mexican bean salad, our new range ensures easy eating at any time, and delivers a punch of vibrant flavour in each bite.’
The supermarket has also released its own brand of vegan cheddar, which is receiving high praise across social media platforms.
ASDA joins other stores such as Boots and Tesco which have also started offering on-the-go vegan options recently.
