Pop icon Ariana Grande is launching a new vegan perfume.
Named God Is a Woman (after the second single from her 2018 album Sweetener), Grande’s new perfume features 91 percent natural ingredients and is certified cruelty-free.
The fragrance isn’t Grande’s first venture into the world of perfumery. The singer first dipped her toe into the scented waters back in 2015, with a fruity fragrance named ARI.
Since then, she has launched a number of different scents. Like her newest offering, many of them are named after her hit singles. R.E.M, Thank U Next, and Moonlight are just a few of the perfumes she currently has on the shelves.
Not much is known about God Is a Woman, which is available online from Ulta Beauty from July 29. But judging by teaser shots of Grande lying in a field of flowers, it’ll feature floral notes.
Grande’s latest vegan perfume could also be a sign of something bigger to come. Earlier this year, the pop star filed a trademark for a number of skincare and body care products. Since then, rumors have swirled that she is about to launch a beauty line under the brand name God Is a Woman.
If Grande does launch a whole beauty line, she’ll be in star-studded company. Celebrities are consistently launching new beauty ranges, many of them vegan.
Last month, Vanessa Hudgens teamed up with Madison Beer to launch Know Beauty. The brand, which relies on DNA testing to help customers formulate a personalized beauty routine, is certified cruelty-free, and many of its products are vegan-friendly.
Rihanna, Lauren Conrad, and Millie Bobby Brown are among the other big names with existing vegan-friendly cosmetic brands.
Kylie Jenner even recently announced that Kylie Cosmetics was relaunching as a vegan brand. The youngest Kardashian sister posted on Instagram last month: “I started my makeup line when I was just 17 and I felt it was time to elevate and join the VEGAN and CLEAN family. I’ve been working hard to create the newest innovative formulas for you guys and I’m sooo excited to share with you all soon!”
