You can now find pints of vegan caramel pecan ice cream in Tesco supermarkets.
Made by UK-based brand Perfect World, the dairy-free ice cream is low in both calories and sugar.
Perfect World aims to make a better-for-you treat by sweetening it with stevia, xylitol, and erythritol, rather than sugar. Eggs were removed from the ice cream base in 2018 due to customer demand.
As well as Caramel Pecan, five other flavors are available, including Double Choc Chip, Pistachio, and Raspberry Ripple.
“You’ll find it hard to resist our Caramel Pecan flavour. And you don’t even have to try, because this creamy caramel ice cream with crunchy pecan pieces contains no more than 43 calories per scoop,” states the Perfect World website.
It continues, “It’s packed full of nutritional goodies, but one thing you won’t find is salt. In fact, ours is so low in salt we carry a ‘very low salt’ legal claim.”
The company also fortifies its coconut milk base with 12 vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin B12, and copper. According to the Brand, “we set out to make something that is just as delicious as the guilty pleasure, but without the guilt.”

Vegan Ice Cream Taking Over the Freezer Aisle
The once-niche vegan ice cream market is on the rise, expected to reach $1 billion worldwide by 2024. The frozen dessert is quickly gaining favor primarily with consumers seeking a healthier alternative to dairy.
The demand has led to increased availability of dairy-free ice cream from brands both new and old. Newcomers like Perfect World, Halo Top, and Arctic Zero are honing in on the popularity of a lower-calorie dessert. Dairy brands are getting in on the game too, with Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, and Cornetto rolling out vegan versions of popular flavors.
Ingredient innovations are also driving the category. Magnum’s vegan ice cream bars use a pea protein base. French food giant Danone, known for its dairy brands, owns the dairy-free brand So Delicious, which is rolling out oat milk ice cream in the US.
Perfect World vegan ice cream is available in Tesco stores across Britain and Northern Ireland or online through Ocado.
