You’ve Got To Get Dirty, To Get Clean! 5 Vegan and Cruelty-Free Cleansers

Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser.

If you’ve not heard of this brand before… be warned! You’ll become obsessed with their entire product line. This cleanser is fragrance-free and removes makeup like a dream.

The jelly is fragrance free and with its use of essential oils, it is totally non-irritating and non-sensitizing – perfect  for every skin type.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser.

Our friends at LK have been raving about Paula’s Choice products for as long as we can remember! This really is a go-to cleanser for anyone with oily or combo skin. It’s mild but a bit drying, so makes a perfect pair with PC’s ‘Moisture Boost.

Lush Coalface

Lush has many great products and this is just one. A good one to use when your skin is being temperamental (ie. breaking out), as it does a good job of removing excess oil without making skin too dry. Plus, it smells amazing (rosewood, sandalwood, and absorbent charcoal) and can be used on the face and body.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser.

Ideal to use as a morning cleanser. It’s quite gentle and leaves skin feeling soft. Depending on your skin type and the amount of makeup you wear, it could work well for evening as well. In the words of Glossier “The pH-balanced, creamy gel formula is made with a blend of five skin conditioners so your face is left feeling healthy and soft, never tight. Its cleansing power comes from the same gentle cleaning agents found in contact lens solution, so it’s tough on impurities and still safe to use on your eyes. You’ll see”

Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes.

These are great when traveling with carry-on only or to be honest if you’re feeling lazy. They remove makeup well, but perhaps not quite strong enough for eye makeup (mascara in particular) — using a bit of coconut oil on lids/lashes beforehand, does the trick. A portion of what you pay for each pack goes to the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Polar Bear SOS Initiative
