The UK’s number one beauty subscription service, Birchbox, has launched a limited edition vegan box named “The Natural Edit.”
Packed full of vegan, cruelty-free, and environmentally-friendly beauty goodies, the box is affordable and high-quality, with a market value of around £160, but priced at only £32.
“We know you want to be more conscious about what you put on your skin and hair. But, we also know you want products that work hard for you,” Birchbox states on its website. “That’s why we’ve put together this special edit of high-performing, natural formulations that are kind to you (and the environment!) and really work.”
It continues, “Every product in this bag is vegan, cruelty-free, and brimming with natural ingredients. An all-around happier, and healthier, approach to beauty.”
The box has already received high praise from customers, with an average rating of five stars on its website. One happy reviewer stated they even ordered a second box straight away after receiving their first vegan box. “All I can say is wow,” they wrote. “Would definitely recommend ordering, you won’t be disappointed.”
Another added, “[This was my first] order of natural products and [I] love every single one of them! Great value for money! And they all smell and feel fantastic!”
The box contains nine vegan beauty and hair products, from hair thickening tonic by Aveda to beauty oil by SKINIRVANA and detoxifying charcoal scrub by Yes To Tomatoes. The cosmetics contents list is even printed on seed paper, according to one reviewer, so that you can plant some summer flowers, too.
Brits Seeking Out Natural Beauty
UK consumers are seeking out more ethical, natural, and cruelty-free beauty products. Like Birchbox, a number of brands are launching new vegan products to keep up with demand. Even retail giant Primark offers a range of cruelty-free cosmetics, launching an affordable vegan version of Chanel’s £110 Chance perfume earlier this year.
Birchbox isn’t the only subscription service from which Brits can order affordable high-quality vegan cosmetic boxes. Last summer, beauty brand KindLook launched, offering customers ethical beauty boxes filled with vegan and environmentally-friendly products; its first box retailed at £23.99, but the contents were worth over £70.
