Cruelty-free and vegan natural beauty brand Herbivore has launched a new botanical skincare serum that promises to refresh skin using only natural ingredients.
Called the “Prism Glow Potion,” the Seattle-based brand’s latest vegan beauty product is a water-based exfoliating essence-serum hybrid. The product claims to gently exfoliate the top layer of dead skin and unclog pores, leaving the user with smooth, glowing skin.
The new skin “potion” uses natural, hydrating botanical ingredients and can be used at night or in the morning. However, Herbivore notes that broad-spectrum sunscreen should be applied if Prism Glow Potion is applied in the morning. Bilberry, sugar cane, orange peel, apple, willow bark, and Kakadu plum have been used to brighten skin, while rose water, aloe water, and a plant-based sodium hyaluronate both soothe and hydrate.
Herbivore will also donate $1 to charities that support LGBTQIA+ causes for every bottle of Prism Glow Potion sold. The current charity of choice is the TransWomen of Color Collective, a national organization that seeks to“uplift the narratives, lived experiences and leadership of trans and gender non-conforming people of color, our families, and comrades as we build towards collective liberation for all oppressed people.” Herbivore will rotate organizations every couple of months as part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to supporting queer communities.
Founded by Julia Wills and Alexander Kummerow in 2011 out of the couple’s Seattle kitchen, Herbivore uses safe, non-toxic, and all-natural, ethically-sourced ingredients to create its crystal-inspired vegan beauty products. Every ingredient used in Herbivore products was selected for its specific properties and the brand does not use fillers of any kind, which results in highly-concentrated botanical formulas.
All Herbivore products are vegan, cruelty-free, and made-from-scratch with an emphasis on using high-quality, organic, raw ingredients whenever possible.
Herbivore’s new Prism Glow Potion is available for purchase online or at Sephora stores.
